About Me
Gave my life to the Lord in 1981 and never looked back. If I am not doing something on the front line of my faith, I am not happy. Have a beautiful bride that is even more in love with the Lord. Raising three kids to do the same. We own and operate www.jacobswell.net. I served in the military which is where I met my wife. I am an avid lover of freedom, liberty, and the American dream. I serve my country now as a contractor supporting the Executive Branch at the Department and Agency level. I am not ashamed of the Gospel and share it freely where and when God opens a door. As Brother Andrew always said...God says "Go!" He doesn't promise you a way back, but He promises to open doors.

I have some very basic beliefs that formulate the person I am.  If you follow my blog you will see me post things that reflect these basic beliefs.

I try to look at all things with a biblical worldview.
I believe that certain governments have purposely set themselves against our Lord. I follow the activities of those governments carefully. Since none of those governments are representative governments, I do not believe they reflect the desires of the people of those countries.
I believe that God had and continues to have a purpose for every people on this planet.
I believe He can raise up mighty nations and strike them down.
I believe the destiny of the United States lies in the ability of each heart to desire to conform to the image of God.
One of the greatest weaknesses of the American people is that we look to our government to solve our problems instead of looking to the One upon whose shoulders all government rests.
I believe the enemies of our nation have set themselves against us primarily because we have a country based on freedom of the individual.
Freedom is something we take for granted until it is gone, then we dream of it until we have it.
Freedom is in the heart of each person as part of being created in God's image. Every person yearns, longs, desires to be free.
I cannot live on my own. God did not create me to be a loner. He created me to love Him and to love others. I cannot love others without reaching out, learning about them, being compassionate towards them, and understanding what God is doing in their life.
God has given me a wife and a family. This family is my government, my priesthood, my responsibility.  Our nation is built on many great principles. The family is one of those. Our nation is only as strong as the families within it.
I believe the enemy of our souls is active in the lives of the saints. I believe we have a power in us that is greater than what is in the world. I believe that we are indeed overcomers.  I believe this enemy wants to remind us of our past. We need to simply remind him of his future.
I believe that when God said to go and take dominion over the world, He meant it. It is still our mandate. However, our dominion is one of love, helping, caring and not one of death, oppression, and destruction. I believe that where the saints go and establish themselves, the world becomes a better place.
I believe revival starts in the hearts of the saints.
I have great hope for the next generations. I have done my best to establish a heritage they can build upon. I see them wanting to build, wanting to grow, wanting to serve God more than I ever thought possible.
I believe the next revival will not be generational. I believe technology has allowed us a means to break down walls that divide generations. I believe we will see a humbling of hearts that touches every generation on the planet as God shows Himself to be the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
I believe my kids and my grandkids will see far greater things than I ever imagined.

Interests
Helping people rise above their potential in any and all things knowing that God gets the glory. I love being told "you can't do that" because the odds are so much against us. I like expression, too. See "Holding On" It reminds me of Natalie Grant's song "Held". Both beautiful expressions of emotion and feelings resting on the foundation that has already been laid.

Movies
Officer and a Gentleman, The Patriot (Mel Gibson's), and anything that shows people rising above their surroundings and accomplishing things they didn't think possible. Facing the Giants - awesome!
Music
Leigh Nash, Casting Crowns, Nicole Nordeman, Mark Schultz, and even Carmen. I love ballads. Here is a good one that is 100% scripture... "Battle Hymn of David and Goliath"

I read about 50 books a year. I alternate between fiction and nonfiction. One of my favorite books is Randy Alcorn's Safely Home. My wife owns and operates a Christian Book Store at www.jacobswell.net.
