Dr. Jerome Stokes, Sr. is the Senior Pastor and Founder of the Church of the Redeemed of the Lord, located in Baltimore Maryland. He began his pastorate in November 1985 with twelve members. Since that time the Church has outgrown two facilities, and is full to capacity in the current facility, with a membership that exceeds six thousand. Bishop Stokes functions as the CEO of the ministry, which currently consists of twenty-eight operational components and supports more than forty ministries of the church. He founded the CRL Community Support Center, which offers a wide variety of services to the community, free of charge. Additionally, by God’s direction, he established the Robert Franklin Stokes Christian School, serving the young, and the CRL Christian College, serving the adult community. He oversees a large staff of Associate Pastors, Elders, and Ministers. As a result, many have entered the Pastorate and establish ministries. Dr. Stokes broadcasts internationally, reaching millions via the Lamp of Victory television and radio programs – including weekly broadcasts in Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Antigua, and Grenada. He is a dynamic author of several books, including, God’s Vision, Your Decision and his latest work, which recently been released, You Can Do It! Dr. Stokes received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Morgan State University. He completed graduate studies with the International Bible Institute and Seminary and the St, Mary’s Seminary. He received a Master of Bible Theology Degree in 1985, a Doctor of Ministry Degree in 1987, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Ministry Degree in 1990. Dr. Stokes is married to the former Marsha Charity Butler. “Sister Marsha”, as her church family and friends fondly call her, is an ordained Elder and she faithfully works and supports her husband in the ministry to which they have been called. Dr. Stokes is the father of two children, Jerome, Jr. and Tonya. He serves the Lord with sincerity and love. He is known as a well-organized spiritual leader and stresses decency and order in every area of life and ministry.
